"Episode 10 is about a killer who is able to kill people in their dreams. Sam and Dean manage to find a way to go into dreams to face him, and that’s where the battleground is. And in that episode, we learn the backstory of the character Bobby Singer (Jim Beaver) and how he got into hunting, in the first place. He’s always been such a mysterious character that it was a big, fun reveal to finally learn something about his past. We also have a big change for Dean's character arc in that episode. Up until this season he’s been living with this death wish, where he doesn’t care that he is dying, and he just wants to squeeze as much out of life as possible. But he ends the episode in a very different place. That’s a very momentous thing for us, because he really makes a 180-degree turn in his character." (E! Online)
