4ª temporada, quais as probabilidades?

Como puderam ler no titulo deste post é sobre isto que um fan pergunta a um dos colunista do site TV Guide, Matt Roush. Aqui fica a resposta à pergunta:

Question: I was wondering what you think about Supernatural's chances for a successful Season 4? Season 3 has been amazing so far, but it has been tragically cut short because of the strike, and there is talk of there only being four more episodes before the season ends completely. Also, with the CW not showing reruns after the end of this month, there runs the risk of Supernatural being forgotten or unexposed to new viewers. Will this greatly increase the chances of it not making it to a fourth season? — Alanah

Matt Roush: At the risk of opening myself up to another fan site-generated barrage of formulaic e-mails (never a good idea, folks), I'll repeat what I've often said about Supernatural: Cool your jets. Get a grip. This show may be the center of your universe, but it's hardly the end of the world that the CW is resting it for a few weeks to give the even more struggling Reaper a shot at exposure in the post-Smallville slot with new episodes, now that Supernatural has run out of originals. Supernatural is hardly the only show "tragically cut short" this year, and it will be back April 24 with four new episodes to wrap up its truncated season (again, not alone in that). The passion of the loyal and vocal Supernatural fan base is well known, which makes me laugh to think the show will be "forgotten" during its temporary hiatus. And I'm not sure what "new viewers" you think might magically discover it during these weeks. The show has found its core audience, which has been enough to keep it alive for three years, and given that the CW isn't exactly drowning in hot franchises, the chances are pretty excellent that it will get a fourth season. I predict it will remain a consistent cult draw in one of TV's most impossible time periods next fall. If it comes down to choosing between Supernatural and Reaper for next season, that's a no-brainer. Supernatural is on top of its game, while Reaper is still trying to figure the game out.
